Our Past Remembered

I bet you're wondering "Just who are these people and why should I care?". Well, I can't tell you why you should care, but I can tell you who we are. (grin)

Darin is 30 and originally from Madison, WI. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1986. He went on to the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He works as the network administrator for a corporation in Nashville. When not working at the office, he's working/playing on the computer at home, read, watching movies and rooting for the Green Bay Packers. He's been a fan all his life. Jen's 36 and originally from Calvert City, KY. She graduated of Marshall County High School in Benton, KY, in 1980. She was a practicing LPN for 14 years until an injury took her out of the medical profession. Now, she's a network administrator for her sister's interior design business and working on becoming a certified genealogist. She also designs web pages, both personal and professional. Along with this, she's actively researching genealogy.

Ashley is Jen's daughter from a previous marriage. She's 13 and working on her own web page. She's active in her jr. high school band, where she took honors 2 years in a row in solos. She's also active in church. She loves to read and listen to music.

Nick is Jen's son from a previous marriage. He's your basic 8 year old. He loves to play on the computer. When not doing this, he's swimming and terrorizing the neighboorhood (grin). He received the Principal's List Award for being on either honor roll or principal's list every granding period this year. He also was awarded the Science Award for receiving a 99% on the national achievement tests this spring.

How did this great family get together? About 5 years ago, Jen and Darin each installed AOL on their respective computers. We each stumbled around until we found an area called "LaPub". We both became a part of the remote staff for this area. About 4 years ago, we started doing the long distance relationship thing. We basically lived at either Nashville International Airport or O'Hare. In June, 1996, Darin moved to Tennessee. On March 12, 1997, we were married.

We love to travel and one of our favorite places is the Southern Appalachian mountains.
